I have very cool friends, I can’t explain everything about them, but I can Explain How I met some of them. First Off, There is Emma.  I met her when I came to White Oak in the 4th grade.  She’s kind, smart, creative and friendly.  She can be a little dramatic though.  She’s in my class this year too.  Now on to Yazmin.  I met her this year in 5th grade.  We talked a couple of times in 4th grade, but that was it.  We know each other way better now that she is in my class in the 5th grade.  Yazmin is funny, dramatic and you can never forget she has a very contagious laugh!  Next is Gracelyn.  I met her from my other friend Katylnn at my apartment.  She’s is very creative, pretty and funny.  I still have more friends I wish to talk about but instead I will list them:  Makayla, Ethan G., Ethan S., Cade L., Austin. Louis, Katylnn P., my cousin Jorden and Giana.

First of all,The story I’m about to tell about happened in,1931.There was a little girl about 10 or 11,her father lost his job because of something that happened in 1931,called  “The Great Depression”  this also made it very tough for him to find a new job.The little girl used to play baseball with her dad every time he got home,but not anymore he took a train to somewhere else for better luck to find a job.the little girl saw some of the boys playing baseball out of her window she decides to go out there and play,but the boys say girls cant play baseball.So,in this story she wants to prove girls are very capable of playing baseball.They go to a baseball game,Timmy,and the girl.Timmy buys a Cracker Jack for a nickel but that would NOT be enough for it now.But back then that would be a decent amount of money for parents to give their child.The girl was hoping Jackie Mitchell would strike out Babe Ruth….Guess What?She did!Jackie is a very respectful girl and can be a bit of a show off at times.Some of people that were in the story have been alive at one time in real life these people are:Jackie Mitchell,Babe Ruth,And Lou Gehrig.In the end…The boys let the anxious girl..Play Base Ball!

MLK facts for project!

The tax activity was interesting and fun.So..I’m guessing your confused?Here,let me explain.The tax activity is based of of well,back then when the colonists thought the taxes were unfair.(Unfair:Not equal or,Not fair EX:”Hey he has more candy than me that is so unfair !”) Anyways,we each got 10 pieces of candy in a plastic cup.Mrs.Mcfall said things we might have and we had to pay taxes for it.EX:If you have a pencil on your desk pay me 2 candies or,if you have glasses pay me 3 candies.

Also,I had 2 of the things/items she called out!But,I had 4 candies In the end,I had to pay 6 candies from:If you have a pencil on your desk pay me 2 candies and,If you have tie shoes pay me 4 candies 4+2=6.I learned that back then it the colonists didn’t have equal rights they had kings…not presidents.It’s hard to think that they didn’t “have the right” to do what they wanted.That’s just how it was and…..they lived with it.

 

Now do you understand?I thought you would!Anyways,that                        was the one and only      “Candy tax activity!’

 

 

The Candies that we had.(green peppermints)

One day in my reading teacher’s class,Mrs.Lobue,she announced we would get into multiple groups and we would use different items to make our own drama!My group and I,took a bag with items in it,The items were:

A purple toy monster that had horns,a cup that looked like a flower,Water Colors in a plastic wrap,a magnifying glass,and a small toy golden hair brush.I was the  mom and my friends were the other characters in total there were 4 characters EX: Mom,Daughter,Son and,Detective/police.

The drama was…....

There was a little girl in her backyard,her younger brother came outside,he grabbed her toy golden hair brush out of her hands and threw it at her.She ran inside,crying.Her younger brother was annoyed,which is why he made a plan,a plan that would make her not annoying at least..not as much.His plan was to make a potion in a cup that looked like a flower his sister uses for water.The potion looked black,so he decided to use water colors to make the potion’s color look like apple juice’s color.The little boy gave the cup to his older sister.”Here sissy it’s apple juice,I’m sorry….”He said    dishonestly. He muttered under his breath”She will turn into a weirdo monster and NEVER annoy me again.” His sister took a huge gulp. “Thank you..?” She said feeling suspicious.

That afternoon in the back yard her mom couldn’t find her anywhere!After 2 hours,she called a detective/police and told him she couldn’t find her daughter for the last 2 hours and though her son had something to do with it.The detective brought a magnifying glass and searched for the missing little girl everywhere!Finally,he found a little purple monster and looked at it very closely with the magnifying glass and finally decided what to say.”Ma’m this appears to be your daughter.”

“What!?” She cried…stopped..then stared at her son. “Okay…Okay…I got tired of her so I made a potion..” He admitted.”W-w-w-w-what how is that even possible I mean if it is true then there…there has to be a cure right?!”The mom exclaimed. “Yes…To cure her we must make her drink the potion again…then..” He sighed.”..She will turn human again..”

When the mom heard that she dove for the potion and grabbed her daughter monster and made her drink it.Everyone was worried because she didn’t turn to a human yet.Finally,An hour later she turned to her normal self quickly.Right after,everyone stared at the little boy with a guilty look on his face,and everyone sang to him “Why you gotta be so rude?Don’t you know she’s human too!?” and the little girl sang,”Why you gotta be so rude?Don’t you know I’M human too!?”

It was a very fun experience to do and Mrs.Lobue filmed all of it.Almost everyone’s favorite part was the rude song at the end.That was mostly a very,very,very special time for me in 2014 because I love being creative and being in drama’s.

Also,for 2015 (this new year) I am making a goal,the goal is..I am going to try my hardest to get AWESOME grades for example A’s B’s A+’s and B’s Mostly in math or social studies I am trying my hardest in both of those classes and of course,my other classes too.
